John Nash : A Mathematical Genius

John Nash Jr. was an American Mathematician who was born on June 13, 1928, in Bluefield, West Virginia, the U.S.

His father worked in Appalachian Electric Power Company as an electrical engineer and His mother was a schoolteacher.

He made contributions to partial differential equations, differential geometry game theory. He worked on those things which help in decision-making inside Collective behavior, Networks, Evolution and adaptation, Pattern formation, Systems theory, Nonlinear dynamics,

The game theory is found in everyday life.

John Nash’s theories are mainly used in economics. At Princeton University, he worked as a senior research mathematician. He was been awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences in 1994. In 2015, he was also awarded Abel Prize for his amazing work on nonlinear partial differential equations. He is the only mathematician who was been rewarded with both the Abel Prize and the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences.

John Nash, During April and May of 1959, was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He started facing mild clinical depression, a lack of motivation for life, and auditory and perceptional disturbances. He was undergoing mental illness and to cure that he got admitted to the State Hospital at Trenton in New York.

On May 23, 2015, Nash and his wife Alicia died in a car accident in New Jersey Turnpike. The report says that neither of them was wearing their seatbelt at the time of the accident.
